Although initially hoping for a liver female, I decided to pick Sawyer, and not just because there were no liver females in the litter! He had so much attitude, he demanded my attention the minute I walked in the door each time I went to visit the litter. And with a face like this, how do you not oblige? I was intent to get the most independent puppy, the first one out of the whelping box. Sawyer was that rambunctious, outgoing little guy and he quickly earned a place at FireStarter Kennels.

Sawyer is very amped up in the field and in the show ring, but he's very calm and sweet around the house. He always has some kind of funny antic and never fails to make people smile. He is a true pleasure to have around, whether you're out hunting or watching a movie on the couch.

Sawyer is stylish and intense on point, shows a strong desire, and runs hard. He earned his Field Championship title at 3.5 years old, currently has 9 points towards his Amateur Field Championship, has earned a JH title, and completed his Dual Championship in November 2010.
